SPRINGFIELD-- The Missouri Tigers have built up quite the reputation for producing great receivers since head coach Gary Pinkel made the switch to the spread offense when Brad Smith was running the show.
In fact, they have had at least one receiver or tight end earn All-American honors for three years running: Jeremy Maclin and Martin Rucker in 2007; Maclin again alongside Chase Coffman in 2008; and Danario Alexander in 2009. One of the biggest questions entering this 2010 campaign is who can step up and fill those very large shoes to become the next All-American receiver for the Tigers.
