Rising Ga. DL visits Alabama
After a dominating performance in the Georgia Rivals/VTO Elite 100 camp last weekend, defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson has seen his stock rise and has some of the top programs in the country after him.
The McDonough, Ga. native was in Tuscaloosa on Saturday for the Alabama's spring game.
"It went good," Tomlinson saiwith all the coaches and watched the A-Dd. "I got to see parts of the campus, met ay game.
"I liked the game. I was mainly watching the defensive line, but I was looking at the overall game. I really liked the way it ended. The White team was trying to come back and beat the Crimson team."
Tomlinson got a first-hand look at Bryant-Denny Stadium and the atmosphere when he and the other recruits walked out on the field prior to the game.
"I got to walk along the side of the field and watch the team warm up," Tomlinson said. "It was a pretty good experience with all of the people there."
During his visit, Tomlinson met with UA head coach Nick Saban and defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, who told him they liked his quickness and hip movements and that he could play either defensive end or defensive tackle.
Tomlinson also talked a couple Alabama players who took part in Saturday's spring game.
"I talked to Trent Richardson and a couple defensive linemen," Tomlinson said. "They told me they want me to come to Alabama and just how the practices and workouts are there."
The 6-foot-3, 270-pound lineman is nowhere closer to a decision after his visit to UA. He has offers from the majority of the SEC and ACC but still wants to take some more visits before choosing a school.
"After I visit a few more colleges and I see that one stands out greatly above the rest of them, then I'll make my decision," Tomlinson said.
