2011 Tiger Mailbag: 13th Edition

Each Wednesday, PowerMizzou.com publisher Gabe DeArmond and recruiting editor Pete Scantlebury will answer questions from subscribers in our Tiger Mailbag. This feature will allow for longer, more in-depth answers than you may get on the message board on a daily basis. On to this week's inquiries:

TnMizzou asks: What is your best guess of the number of players we take at each position?

PS: Things can change, but my best guess right now would be:

QB: 2
RB: 2
WR: 3
TE: 1
OL: 4
DT: 3
DE: 2
LB: 3
CB: 2
S: 2

That would give Missouri 24 signees, and we're anticipating a class anywhere from 20 to 25.

ZouFan27 asks: What is the deal with Sheldon Richardson? Do you still believe that he will be on campus this fall?

GD: From what I've been told, Sheldon had two classes he had to finish after leaving College of the Sequoias at semester. One of those classes is done, one still has to be done. People I have spoken to believe Sheldon will make it to Mizzou, but don't know if it will be in time for the first summer session, second summer session or for fall camp. So, as long as that is what I'm hearing, I'll maintain he will be here. That said, I understand the skepticism from many people.

nwphotog asks: What instate player do you think could commit next?

GD: I still think there's a decent chance Michael Scherer is the next one to jump on board from the state, but I'd also keep an eye on Jehu Chesson. And even though we've been thinking Dorial Green-Beckham will wait a long time, I've heard some chatter that some people expect him to make a decision prior to the start of his senior season.
