2013 TE visits Alabama
Camp Hill, Penn., native Adam Breneman made the trip down to Tuscaloosa last Friday to visit the University of Alabama. The 6-foot-5 tight end for the class of 2013 was impressed with what he saw.
"I got a great feel for the program and how they run things," Breneman said. "My dad and I got to meet with Coach Saban for a while, and he is a great guy."
One thing that Breneman liked about Alabama was how the Crimson Tide utilized their tight ends. Breneman said that he talked with Saban about how many times the Tide will play with as many as three tight ends on the field at the same time.
"It is great when you here that," Breneman sai. "It is great to hear that you have the possibility of playing early there."
Breneman said he wants to join a system that will put the ball in his hands, stating that he wanted to remain a receiving tight end in college.
"I want to go to a place where I will be able to have the ball in my hands out of the tight end position." Breneman said. "I don't want to go somewhere and become 290 pounds and an offensive tackle. I want to be able to make plays from the tight end position."
Though Breneman said that location is important in his decision, the Pennsylvania native said that he would be able to play far from school under the right circumstances.
"I have also said that ideally I would prefer to stay closer to home,"
Breneman said. "But if I found a perfect fit for myself, I would be willing to travel anywhere."
Breneman has not made a list of top schools, but said that Alabama was a school that he feels comfortable saying he will be interested in for a long time.
The junior in high school has already made visits Alabama, Maryland and Virginia this summer, and he said he plans to visit Penn State on June 26 and 27.
