Corbin Berkstresser impressed during August camp, displaying a strong arm and a good understanding of the spread offense. Obviously, there were moments that proved he's just a freshman, but Berkstresser did enough to compete for the back-up quarterback position, and eventually became the third-strong signal caller. Despite his presence on the depth chart, Berkstresser took a redshirt this season.
