Jalen McDaniel will be patient

Wide receiver Jalen McDaniel from Jack Britt High in Fayetteville, N.C., battled through a nagging injury to post solid numbers as a junior, hauling in 33 passes for 529 yards and three touchdowns.
Last Saturday at the Shrine Bowl combine held at South Johnston High in Four Oaks, N.C., McDaniel battled the elements. The chiseled 6-foot-1, 188-pounder boasted an impressive 37-inch vertical leap and did 14 reps at 185 pounds on the bench press. He also had a solid 4.56-second time in the shuttle on the gymnasium floor.
The 40-yard dash though was run outside under persistent off-and-on rain that was heavy at times. The conditions slowed times down all morning, and McDaniel ran a 4.73-second sprint.
