As Missouri players, coaches and staff filed on to a temporary bleacher to take the official team photograph a couple of weeks ago, the well-known faces were there, all of whom could be picked out by any fan with even a rudimentary knowledge of the team.

But also on the bleachers were some two to three dozen anonymous faces wearing black Mizzou polos. Some of them might have been recognizable to the most devoted Tiger fan. Most would not.

One of those was Austin Alewel.

It is doubtful more than a handful of fans--perhaps with the exception of those who live in Warrensburg--know Alewel's name, or could pick him out of the photograph. It is people like Austin Alewel who make a program the size of Missouri's run seamlessly.
