Ross practicing patience

PowerMizzou.com Earnest Ross had waited more than a year to play a game in a Missouri uniform. When he finally got the chance, it wasn't the debut he was looking for. Ross scored just seven points on 2-of-10 shooting against SIU-Edwardsville and had just four rebounds.
After that game, Ross took some lessons to heart he had been hearing from the coaching staff.
"Just staying under control and not really forcing things," Ross said. "Just getting the jitters out. A lot of jitters came in the first game."
It paid off. In game number two as a Tiger, Ross scored 17 points, making 7-of-8 shots, and grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double in a 91-54 win over Alcorn State.
