Four-star injured will miss part of season

Gardena (Calif.) Serra's season already got off to a bumpy start. Serra, considered one of Southern California's top team will be without the services four-star two-way standout Apaiata Tuihalamaka (6-3, 205, 4.7) for an indefinite amount of time.

The talented Tuihalamaka fractured his fibula close to his ankle the day before training camp was going to begin while playing pickup basketball.

"We have been scrambling both offensively and defensively," Serra coach Scott Altenberg said. "Apaiata is such an unique player. We were building our offense and defense around him."
