Good, solid practice by Bruins
Wednesday was another solid practice as the Bruins get ready for Rice. Like the week preparing for Utah, UCLA is getting crisper as the week moves on. The Bruins have really put in work this week to improve the running game as that was the only facet of the Bruin attack that wasn't working up to its potential.
"It was a good day of learning," UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell told the media after practice. "We will be able to have the whole plan in tomorrow and it will be a sharp day in every phase of what we do."
"I'm very pleased with how the attitude is and everything is coming together pretty well."
Eric McNeal who was recently cleared to play this Saturday has had two very solid days of practice. He will be ready on Saturday after missing the defenses coming out party against Utah.
Another contributor from a year ago, John Hale, will also be back in action after missing the first game due to an off-field altercation.
