The Magnificent 7?

Ya know, what's left of this team ain't that bad.

While media and fans talk up and worry about the fact Oklahoma State basketball barely has enough bodies to man an infield, the remaining Cowboys just keep playing with heart and determination.

In surviving Thursday night's double-overtime thriller against Pittsburgh, the Pokes proved that as long as they can limit turnovers and stay out of foul trouble, they can play with - and beat - just about any team in college basketball.

For a lineup which was already shorthanded before the season-ending injury to Obi Muonelo, his loss just before big games against Tennessee and Pitt had folks wondering if OSU would be able to survive the back-to-back gauntlet of a near-road game against a quality Volunteer squad and a near-home game against a potential No. 1 NCAA Tournament seed.

The verdict? They did just fine, thank you.

And consider that if JamesOn Curry didn't foul out or if Mario Boggan played a few more minutes in the second half in Nashville, the Pokes would likely be sitting pretty at 13-0.
