Disappointing loss for Wildcats
Marcus Williams' career-high 34 points weren't enough to carry Arizona to victory Sunday as the Wildcats fell to Oregon by the score of 79-77.
Aaron Brooks scored a lay-up with two seconds left in the game to secure the victory for the Ducks. The reigning Pac-10 Player of the Week scored 21 points in the game.
Both teams came out energized early and the pace was frenetic for most of the first half.
Oregon held an early lead and both teams went on multiple scoring runs in the half. Defensively, Arizona played pretty well but gave up a lot of open perimeter shots and had a few breakdowns in transition defense.
