UCLA Stumbles In Seattle
In its final regular season game, UCLA fell for the third time in the conference this year, coming out flat and giving an uninspired effort in front of a sellout crowd on Saturday morning, losing to the NIT-bound Washington Huskies, 61-51.
While it should be noted the Bruins played without sophomore forward Alfred Aboya, a key interior figure defensively and on the glass, UCLA was simply outworked and out hustled in this disappointing effort.
The Husky frontcourt of freshman Spencer Hawes and sophomore Jon Brockman combined for 33 points and 28 rebounds, dominating the inside action and assisting Lorenzo Romar and company in winning the battle of the boards by 14 over UCLA.
