Duane Zlatnik takes great pride in playing high school football at Rossville (KS) High School. However, the 6-foot-4, 260-pound strongside defensive end, who is considered one of the top players in the state, will eventually have to make a decision about his future. Zlatnik was in Lawrence several weeks ago for KU's spring game, and spoke to Jayhawk Slant about the experience.

Despite playing with a separated shoulder for much of last year, Zlatnik scored nine touchdowns from the tight end position. However, the schools currently recruiting the talented prospect are doing so on the defensive side of the ball.
