Jones and Pick show out at Elite 11 camp
Fort Worth, Texas - Among the many talented quarterbacks on TCU's practice fields Friday afternoon, there stood no more physically impressive quarterback than Artesia, N.M. four-star Landry Jones. The big signal caller from the Land of Enchantment stood toe-to-toe with top signal callers from across the Big 12 region in an effort that he wasn't overly glowing about.
Jones will measure in at today's Nike camp, but looks to have grown a little bit and similarly his throwing motion and release have improved accordingly. However, according to Elite 11 quarterbacks' coach Bob Johnson there are still some things to be worked on.
As many have noticed before, Johnson took some issue with the 6-foot-5, 215-pound Jones' release but was impressed by his learning curve.
