Colorado is attempting to make a stronger impact in Texas this year and the staff is off to a good start with one commitment already from wide receiver, Chance Blackmon. Today, the staff officially offered LB/SS prospect Herman Mitchell (6-foot-0, 200 pounds, 4.53), from Spring (Texas) Westfield High.

The star defender had received two verbal offers from Missouri and Colorado. Today, Colorado sent the paperwork in the mail. So far on the month, Mitchell has received calls from CU, Louisiana Tech, Missouri, and Texas Tech.

He is also interested in Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and LSU.
