Iowa State's 2008 recruiting effort is picking up momentum in the verbal commitment department. The Cyclones picked up their third verbal of the past couple of weeks on Monday when West Des Moines (Iowa) Valley defensive end Jake McDonough decided for sure that he'd like to play for ISU. After completing an aggressive summer camp schedule that made stops in college towns from Manhattan, Kansas, to Madison, Wisconsin, to Louisville, Kentucky, McDonough got his central Iowa legs underneath him once again on Monday and committed to ISU.
