Newton Square (Pa.) Marple Newtown defensive end Pete Massaro has been awaiting an offer from Penn State all summer, and it seems he could be nearing his goal.

Massaro did his best to show the Nittany Lion coaches what he was made of when he attended Penn State's senior only camp on June 23. He felt confident about his showing at the camp.

"I did well at the camp and felt good when I left," said Massaro. "I ran a 4.8 (forty-yard dash), which I felt good with because I had never really been timed before."

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Massaro currently holds six offers from Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Temple.
