Louisville does not recruit the state of Michigan very often. In fact, there is not a single player on their 2007 roster from the Great Lake State. When Top 50 prospect Jonas Gray expressed interest in the Cardinals early in his recruitment, however, the Cardinals staff made an exception. Now they are going after Gray's teammate too.

Four-star linebacker Kenny Demens stands 6-foot-1 and weighs in at 225 pounds. At the Columbus NIKE Combine in April he posted a 4.60 40-yard dash, a 4.09 shuttle, a 33-inch vertical and 24 reps on the bench press. He holds offers from the likes of Michigan State, Nebraska, West Virginia, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Purdue and Wisconsin. Michigan was the most recent school to send notification of their intent to offer, but Louisville was also recently in contact.
