Missouri City (Texas) Elkins linebacker Blake Slaughter has had a busy summer traveling to see schools high on his list. The three-star rated prospect has trimmed his school list to five and is nearing a decision as the beginning of the football season nears.

The 6-foot, 219-pound Slaughter has a top five of Kansas State, Rice, Texas Tech, Iowa State and Oklahoma State.
