Toailoa sets up first official visit
Quentin Toailoa was originally planning to take an unofficial visit to San Diego State this weekend. The 6-foot-6, 285-pound defensive tackle from Redlands (Calif.) East Valley did not end up making the trip.
"I had a baby sister born this weekend," Toailoa explained. "So I obviously couldn't make it down there. But I did visit San Diego [State] a couple months ago. I liked the campus and the program."
Toailoa will take his first official visit to Nebraska the weekend of October 19th when the Huskers take on Texas A&M.
"My mom wants me to go check them out, so I am going to go check them out," Toailoa said of his upcoming trip to Lincoln. "She really likes like Coach Joe Rudolph."
In addition to San Diego State and Nebraska, Toailoa has picked up scholarship offers from Arizona State, Oregon, Arizona, Oregon State, UTEP and Nevada.
"I am going to wait a little while and see if any more schools come in and then I will set up the rest of my visits and go check out those schools," he said.
Arizona offered Toailoa as an offensive lineman, while the other schools are recruiting him as a defensive tackle. "I would like to play defensive line in college," he stated.
Toailoa and his East Valley teammates are off to a 4-0 start this season with wins over North, Colton, Dominguez and Eisenhower. Toailoa has recorded three quarterback sacks so far.
