Neill likes Army
While The Woodlands has suffered through a rough season, their offensive line has been a bright spot. Tackle Brandon Thompson has verbally committed to Nebraska and their other tackle seems to be nearing a Division I commitment.
The 6-3, 270-pound John Neill has been offered by Army and has already unofficially visited the West Point campus.
"It's a beautiful place," he said. "We went to their game against Temple and the atmosphere is great. Not many people get an opportunity to attend West Point and it's an honor. You can't pass up the education there. I'm going to take an official visit there in December and I'll probably end up committing there."
Neill is a two-year starter for the Highlanders, who is also hearing from Kansas and Missouri among others.
"The thing I also like about Army is that they get you started in a prep school to get used to military life," he said. "They don't red-shirt their football players and that makes the transition a little easier."
Highlander defensive end Herman Watson has also received an offer. The 6-1, 235-pound Watson has been offered by Illinois State.
