Sooner commit stays solid inspite of speculation
It's strange how things can turn out. When R.J. Washington made his commitment to Oklahoma over a year ago there was little doubt in most people's mind that Oklahoma would have a real fight on it's hands not only to keep him from taking him on official visits but to even end up in Norman at all.
In the past four days Oklahoma has lost a pair of commitments and there Washington sits never even mentioning other schools or flirting with the vast number of colleges that would love to host the nation's No. 9 prospect, he has never wavered or given anyone reason to think he was a genuine risk for the Sooners.
Washington will take his long awaited official visit to Oklahoma, and since it will be his only one he plans to make the most of it. However, with so many trips to Norman under his hat, Washington unlike most others isn't worried about seeing academic centers or athletic facilities, he has already seen them.
"I'm taking my official this weekend, I just want the free food. I want to get wined and dined," Washington laughed.
