Brinson enjoys Iowa visit
Three-star running back Jeff Brinson is on his way home to Florida today after making an official visit to Iowa this weekend. The 5-foot-11, 203-pound Brinson, who rushed for 1,906 yards and 24 touchdowns this season, spent two days touring the athletic and academic facilities in Iowa City.
Brinson, who the Hawkeyes offered back in the spring, was hosted by defensive end Adrian Clayborn on the official visit. During the two days, the three-star prospect had several chances to sit down and talk with the Iowa coaching staff, who explained the opportunity they have at running back next year.
Along with Iowa, Brinson holds scholarship offers from Florida, Kansas, Michigan State, Purdue, and several others. Going into the weekend, he said Iowa and Florida were near the top of his list, and it appears the Hawkeyes did nothing to hurt their chances on the official visit.
Currently, Brinson has an official visit to Florida scheduled for January 11.
