Sooners land commit from three-star safety
Of the three official visitors on Oklahoma's campus this weekend, there was one player that had hinted that a decision could be coming during his time in Norman. That player was Oroville (Calif.) Butte C.C. safety David Sims. Sims who had just recently picked up interest from the Sooners has now left Norman. But has he committed?
"Everything went real cool, I liked the coaches, everything went good," Sims said. "I committed. I did it this morning when I was talking to coach Stoops, they were excited cause I have the opportunity to come in and start right away cause of depth situations."
Sims, whose commitment to Oklahoma's importance was compounded by the addition of fellow defender Mike Balogun, says the chance to spend time with the Sooners was a big thing for him.
Apparently both Balogun and Sims enjoyed their time hanging out with several of Oklahoma's young stars.
