Arizona State's season came to an end on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Areana with a 70-57 loss to Florida in the NIT quarterfinals.
James Harden led the Sun Devils (21-13) with 18 points, six rebounds and three assists and Jeff Pendergraph had 14 points.
A crowd of 12,306 were on hand for the game and following the loss, coach Herb Sendek and both players spoke with media about the amazing outpouring of support given to the program this season by the fans.
Florida coach Billy Donovan and players Walter Hodge and Chandler Parsons also spoke about their win, which Donovan said was primarily due to the team's terrific shooting from 3-point range. The Gators made 12-of-25 attempts from the distance, including a combined 7-of-13 by Hodge and Parsons.
