Players start to pick up the pace in week 2
It was just another day at work for the Oregon State football team on Tuesday afternoon. Coming off a quality practice the previous night, the Beavers perpetually moved forward in preparation for its first contest at Stanford in two weeks. Many players' success from Monday carried over to Tuesday, while a plethora of backups worked harder to get into the rotation this fall.
The starting quarterback situation looks to be intact for the moment with Lyle Moevao continuing to make plays and lead the team, but the backup situation is what is precarious right now. The team worked a lot on short to medium length throws and the junior signal caller was very patient, usually finding the most open target. With Brennan Sim still hurt and Sean Canfield still taking it easy, Justin Engstrom is getting the other half of the repetitions.
