KU still in the mix for Five-Star Smith?
When talking about the top players in the 2010 class, Roscoe Smith's name certainly comes to mind. The 6-foot-7, 180-pound small forward from Walbrook High School in Baltimore, Md., has high-major offers from some of the nation's most prestigious college basketball institutions. Kansas offered Smith a scholarship early in the process, but are the Jayhawks a player for the five-star prospect? Jayhawk Slant has the latest inside.
It's only a matter of time before Walbrook High School becomes a hotspot for college coaches from all across the United States. Smith, the No. 11 ranked player in the class of 2010, already has scholarship offers from Connecticut, Florida, Florida State, Georgetown, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Memphis, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCLA and Virginia Tech.
