Famous ready to see Mizzou

Jarrid Famous has been putting up big numbers the past two seasons in junior college. Famous, a sophomore from Westchester Community College in New York, will take an official visit this coming weekend to a Big 12 Conference school. It is the Missouri Tigers who will welcome the talented juco star for a mid-week visit.

Famous, (SO) 6-foot-10 (230), is a mobile 4/5 man that has all the tools to play at the high major level. Jarrid finished his junior college career on Saturday in the Region Tourney with a loss to Monroe College. Famous finished the game with 28 points and seven rebounds in defeat. Jarrid scored 1,382 career points and grabbed 723 rebounds for the Westcos over his two years. Famous averaged 25.2 rebounds and 13.8 rebounds this season.

Missouri will get a first look at Famous this coming week according to Westchester Community College assistant coach Mick Carey. Seton Hall, Villanova, Xavier and St John's are all fighting for his services. Famous visited Seton Hall in the fall on an official visit according to coach Carey. Head coach Mike Anderson of Missouri has been in three times this season to evaluate Famous. South Florida, Pittsburgh, DePaul and Providence has also shown interest in the post player this spring.
