Top in-state junior visits Auburn
Auburn got a two-for-one visit Saturday from Bob Jones junior Reggie Ragland. The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Ragland is being recruited by the Tigers to play football and basketball.
Ragland, projected to be one of the top in-state prospects in both sports in 2012, arrived in Auburn and first visited with the basketball program.
"I got there around 10 o'clock and went and watched the team practice," said Ragland. "I like their tempo. At practice, it was so high. They run a lot. They are going to be really in shape.
"I saw The Arena, and it's really nice, and then I talked to Coach (Tony) Barbee."
It was Ragland's second time meeting Auburn's first-year coach.
"I really like Coach Barbee," said Ragland. "I think he's going to change the whole program. From the players he has coming in this year and next year, he can turn it around. I think they are going to be good in the future."
Two other top in-state basketball prospects, Butler four-star guard Trevor Lacey and Lee three-star Devin Langford, were also in Auburn Saturday. Ragland, Lacey and Langford are all from Huntsville. They aren't strangers....
