Oklahoma on Top for Nance?

It's been nearly a year since Oklahoma made it known to Euless (Texas) Trinity linebacker Brian Nance that he had a spot in Norman waiting for him if he wanted it. At the time the 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker was receiving little attention and his Sooner offer quickly placed him on the map. Since then he has picked up offers from Notre Dame and USC along with interest from coast to coast.

After a strong junior year in which he helped lead the Trojans to yet another state championship game it seemed all was on the up for Nance but since then the talented linebacker has been forced to rehabbing a surgically repaired knee that he hopes will be ready to go by the start of Trinity's 2011 season.

However, that hasn't slowed his recruiting down and last weekend he made another trip to Norman to take in the Sooner Spring game.

"It was fun, it was nice to get out on the field and watch the guys," Nance explained. "We were a little late getting there and we were just pretty much introduced to all of the coaches and then got to walk onto the field and stood next to our positions. We hung around and talked to coaches afterward.

"The atmosphere is great, getting up there and checking out the team stuff, that's nice, they are still at the top of my board."
