Ducks attend practice of 4* TE

As the Oregon Ducks wrapped up their spring practices, Godby High School was just starting theirs. One of the Oregon coaches was on hand in Tallahassee to observe the proceedings and the play of standout tight end Laith Harlow.

"My body is holding up great," said Harlow. "Today was the first day of practice in pads. There was a little bit of contact but not too much. I am ready to get into it full speed whenever the defense is ready for it. We haven't gotten the full offense and full defense yet and this is just spring practice. So we'll do this, have our spring game and then work through the summer."

After three days in helmets only, Harlow and his teammates put on full pads for the first time in many months.

"The day after Thanksgiving was the last day I wore full pads," Harlow began. "I remember that because it was our second playoff game against Madison. We got beat pretty bad but I'll tell you, all this off-season our goal has been to win a State Championship and we have been working so hard to achieve this goal it is absolutely ridiculous the work Godby High School has been putting in to achieve what we have been trying to achieve since 1986. So we have been working hard and we have a whole new offensive scheme this year and I think we're going to have the year of our lifetimes."
