Four-star OL visits Iowa

Four-star offensive lineman Alex Kozan made his first official visit this weekend with a trip to the University of Iowa. As he left town on Sunday, the 6-foot-4, 295-pound Kozan said the experience was everything that he expected and more. He talks about his weekend in Iowa City, where his recruiting goes from here, and much more.

Q: Can you take us through the visit a little bit and how it all went?

KOZAN: It was great. It was everything that I expected and more. It was fun to see Iowa on a game day and it really refreshed Iowa in my mind, just seeing everything again. I got to meet with all of the coaches again and just overall got a better feel for it again. It was a great trip.

It started off on Friday night, I went to the team hotel and ate dinner. It was great food and I ate great all weekend really. On Saturday, I saw the game in the morning and then met with Coach Doyle, the strength and conditioning coach. Then, I met with Coach Morgan and went over some film. After that, I went out to eat with my host, Austin Blythe, at a steakhouse in Iowa City. Then, I got to spend some time with Austin and met some of the other guys on the team Saturday night.

This morning, I met with Coach Ferentz. Then, I went to the student academic services building and met with the head guy there. After that, I went over to business school, the Tippie College of Business, and really learned a lot more about it and where I would be taking most of my classes if I came to Iowa.

Overall, it was a great visit. I got to see everything that I wanted and it was a lot of fun.
