Strobel visits the Big House

Mentor (Ohio) defensive end Tom Strobel visited Michigan in April for the Wolverines' annual spring game, and the four-star defensive end commit finally got the opportunity to make a return visit this weekend. It was the first Michigan game he's seen in person, and he saw the Wolverines pound Minnesota 58-0.

The Golden Gophers weren't competitive in the contest, and Michigan dominated from start to finish. While it was refreshing for Michigan fans to see, it didn't make for the most entertaining game, according to Strobel.

The fan turnout on a cold, windy day was impressive to Strobel. He was surprised to see the stadium packed despite the weather conditions. Another thing that impressed him was Michigan's coaching staff.

Their players also caught Strobel's eye. Michigan's defense held the Golden Gophers to 177 yards of total offense, and the future member of that unit chalks the performance up to an aggressive style of play.

Strobel would like to make it to another Michigan game this season, but he's not sure if his high school schedule will allow him to make another trip to Ann Arbor.
