Tide still strong for Tomlinson

The University of Alabama has always been among the favorites for Rivals250 defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson, and although he's reevaluating his list of schools, the Crimson Tide remains strong after he visited for the LSU game.

"It went pretty good," Tomlinson said. "I have never been to a game like that. It was a good atmosphere, and the game was pretty intense. It was great."

Tomlinson, a native of McDonough, Ga., arrived in Tuscaloosa later than expected, but he still had a chance to take a quick tour of UA's campus before attending the game.

"I just went to the game, watched the game and went around and looked at the campus," he said. "I just looked at all of the buildings and stuff. I got there a little bit late, so I didn't get to go to the football facility or talk to the coaches."

Alabama and Georgia Tech had been considered the leaders for Tomlinson, but the 6-foot-2, 270-pound defensive lineman has started to reevaluate his schools and is now considering Florida, Georgia, Stanford and Tennessee.

"I'm just trying to cut down the schools right now," Tomlinson said. "I'm looking at a couple of them differently now as I cut down my list. I'm looking at the way the coaches have been lately, the facilities, and academics and all that."

After his visit to Alabama, the Crimson Tide has passed the test for Tomlinson.

"I like the academics, the coaches and the facilities down there. I like everything overall about Alabama."
