Sooners Go After Emerging Peach State Star










Though it took Alpharetta, Ga. offensive tackle George Adeosun a little longer than the traditional 'late bloomer' his Wednesday more than made up for a recruiting process that had dragged a bit for the 6-foot-6, 294-pound prospect.

The Peach State big man came into Wednesday holding numerous Ivy league offers as well as a recent offer from Virginia, which he recently visited. But as the last 12 hours transpired he picked offers from Kentucky, Purdue, and Oklahoma.

"It was completely out of the blue, everything has been out of the blue, I'm very thankful for the offers and I'm looking forward to continuing the recruiting process. I don't want to be swept into a certain direction, or make a quick decision because of any external pressure. I'm going to talk a lot with my family and my coaches and keep it internal," Adeosun said.

"Prior to the chaos of today, I wouldn't say my recruiting was slow. I noticed a trend, I had a gut feeling - I was being approached by so many seemingly smaller schools that I thought a bigger school was going to get involved. And that came in the form of Virginia, from what I gained from the visit it was a fantastic campus. No one expects to get three offers in one day but I had a feeling it would pick up."
