Scouting Report: 2013 Wide Receivers
After only taking one wide receiver in the 2012 class (Malik Gilmore), the Beavers loaded up with four prep players who fill roles within the Beavers offense well. From the smaller, quick receivers like Victor Bolden and Walter Jones, to a polished route runner in Hunter Jarmon, to the big target in Jordan Villamin, the Beavers have a nice mix of talent for the future.
The BeaverBlitz Scouting Reports are based on the experience we've had
at the NIKE and College Camps in addition to first hand accounts from high school
and junior college coaches that have worked with these players. We take into
consideration information from the player, the physical attributes of each athlete,
and information from other evaluators. We have taken the time to do film evaluation
of each recruit. We've also tracked many of the in-state athletes through out
their high school careers. The following comments are strictly our observations
and opinions and do not reflect those of the Oregon State coaching staff. The "Dream Rating" is the score based upon the Rivals.com ratings that author Daniel Klobes would have awarded each athlete. He has spent years playing football and was a member of the Oregon State squad in the mid-2000's.

VICTOR BOLDEN • WR • 5-9 • 165 • - • 5.5 • Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Strengths: Quickness and vision
Areas for Improvement: Balance and size
Conclusion: Bolden is a play waiting to happen, but he has to learn how to have more body control and balance. If he can master that control, he will become a very deadly weapon.
