New Mexico QB one of the best for 2008

The Land of Enchantment has one of the most enchanting prospects for the class of 2008. This player already has three offers on the table and he could be on the verge of several more. He is putting his recruitment in the fast track because he plans on being an early commitment.

The player in question is quarterback, Landry Jones (6-5, 215, 4.7) from Artesia, N.M.

There are those who feel that Jones could be the number one signal caller in the nation for the class of 2008.

Jones has already made believers out of Colorado, Virginia and New Mexico State, schools that have already tendered offers.

The word is UCLA is very interested and Miami is on the verge of offering.

"I'm keeping my options open," Jones said. "I plan to make my decision in February or March.


Jones has led to Artesia to a perfect 7-0 record and a No.1 state ranking in 4A.

On the season, Jones has hit on 113 passes out of 154 attempts for 1,544 and 20 touchdowns against only two interceptions. His 73.3 completion percentage and only two picks seconds the accuracy and good decision making report.
