Kansas ready for Big 12 test

For Bill Self and the No. 6 ranked Kansas Jayhawks (13-2; 0-0), the march to Atlanta, Ga., site of this years Final Four, begins on Wednesday night, as the No. 10 ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys (15-1; 1-0) travel to Lawrence to face the Hawks inside Allen Fieldhouse. This highly anticipated match up between KU and OSU is scheduled to tip-off at 8:00 CST. Having won 13-of-15 games during non-conference play, it should come as no surprise that Self and the Hawks are more than ready for Big 12 play to begin.

"We've gotten a lot better," said Self. "Offensively, we just go through stretches where we labor to score, and it puts so much pressure on your defense when you do that. The biggest thing with out offense is we're just not making shots yet. That tells me that we've got a lot of room for improvement, and we are going to get better."

If Self's squad doesn't do a better job of putting points on the board against the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Wednesday night, it could end up being a long and frustrating night for the Jayhawks.

There is absolutely no question that Sean Sutton's Cowboys have the talent and athletic ability to come into Allen Fieldhouse and walk away with a big-time "W". Throughout non-conference play, OSU was one of the most impressive teams in all of college basketball.

During their 15-1 run through non-conference play, OSU defeated the likes of Auburn, Syracuse and Pittsburgh.
