Andrew Jones blows up

Tight end is a position in the class of 2008 certain to be an area of focus for coach (Bill) Callahan and staff. That being said, they have made an early offer to a player who is certain to be one of the nation's premier prospects at the position. But, can the Huskers become a player for Andrew Jones from Smithville (Mo.) Smithville, or is he a lock to become a Missouri Tiger?

Jones lists his early favorites as Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska and Kansas State. He has attended a Junior Day at Missouri and plans to make his way to Lincoln next weekend for a Nebraska Junior Day session. The 6-foot-6, 233-pound prospect is certain to be one of the more highly-recruited prospects in the midwest.
