Cavaliers are in pursuit of New Mexico QB Jones

Artesia (N.M.) pro-style quarterback Landry Jones (6-foot-4, 205 pounds, 4.7 seconds) has caught the attention of talent evaluators across the nation. Jones, who currently holds six scholarship offers, is an accurate passer with excellent arm-strength and a huddle presence not found in many high school juniors. Virginia was the first school to offer Jones. Can UVa snag the Land of Enchantment signal caller?

"Virginia was one of the first schools to offer me and that is one place that I will definitely visit before I make my decision," said Jones.

Jones sent his film to UVa back in the fall and heard back from Virginia assistant Mike Groh shortly thereafter.
