Nebraska 'wows' Gabbert on his visit

Nebraska played host today to a prospect who could be easily end up being the quarterback of the future for a number of big time college programs. Blaine Gabbert from Ballwin (Mo.) Parkway West, a member of the Rivals100 for 2008, made his way to Lincoln to check out the Huskers even though he was unclear about having an offer from coach Bill Callahan and staff.

The 6-foot-5, 228-pound Gabbert, who has scholarship offers now from Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas State, Iowa, Clemson and Miami (Ohio), plans a visit later this week to Iowa to check out the Hawkeye program. His plans are to make his choice of schools known by this summer.
