Show-Me stars galore at junior day

The fifth junior day was held at the University of Missouri on Saturday afternoon and it brought a record turnout. The nearly 160 high school juniors were the most that have ever attended such an event in Columbia.

A number of the top prospects in the Show-Me State were in attendance. Leading the way was the St. Louis duo of Blaine Gabbert (who checked in at 6-foot-5, 230 pounds) and Wes Kemp. Gabbert listed Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa and Colorado (in no particular order) among his top six schools, while Kemp reported a top three of Wisconsin, Mizzou and Ole Miss. Kemp and Gabbert both look like early locks for top three rankings in the state's Class of 2008.

However, there were plenty of other top shelf prospects on hand.
