Aldrich has solid showing

Future Kansas Jayhawk Cole Aldrich has enjoyed a stellar senior season at Bloomington Jefferson High School in Bloomington, Minn.

Aldrich was named to the 2007 McDonald's All American West team, capping off his high school career before joining the Kansas basketball program. Wednesday night in Louisville, Ky., the burger boys kicked into gear in front of a packed Freedom Hall, home of the Louisville Cardinals.

The 6-foot-11, 250-pound center finished the game with six points and eight rebounds, using his defensive skills to help his squad to the 114-112 victory.

Typically in McDonald's All America games, dunks and ridiculously deep three pointers prove to be the most common scoring scenarios. Very rarely do you see a true center thrive on solid entry passes and a strong post game.
