Aldrich headed to Roundball Classic
It's been an unforgettable couple of days for Cole Aldrich, the 6-foot-11, 250-pound center from Bloomington (MN) Jefferson High School. On Wednesday night, the No. 30 ranked player in the class of 2007, scored six-points, grabbed eight rebounds and swatted four shots in the McDonald's All-American game. Up next for Aldrich is a trip to Chicago, Ill., as he is scheduled to participate in the Roundball Classic.
After a frustrating and difficult spring and summer on the AAU Circuit, it didn't appear Aldrich, the No. 5 ranked center in the class, would be one of the 24 players selected to participate in the prestigious McDonald's All-American game.
However, Aldrich started to put the pieces back in place towards the end of the summer and, to his credit, was flat-out sensational during his senior campaign.
During his time in Louisville, Ky., the talented center prospect opened up a lot of eyes and, according to several reports, got the better of Kevin Love on a number of occasions.
