Dan Hoch is a frequent NU visitor

Harlan (Iowa) offensive tackle Dan Hoch remains the only out of state prospect so far committed to Nebraska out of their four total commits, but what a catch he could prove to be. He is rated as the consensus No. 1 player in the state of Iowa for the 2008 class, and he is a key component of what is shaping up to be an outstanding collection of offensive line recruits.

After not allowing a single sack for the past two seasons, Hoch was named first-team all-conference and all-state.

Besides excelling in football, the 6-foot-6, 295-pound Hoch has also made his mark in other sports for Harlan High.

Last year, before he committed to the Huskers, Hoch and his family traveled to Lincoln to watch one of NU's Cotton Bowl practices. Since his pledge to NU, he has been back for a couple other unofficial trips.
