KU is the team to beat for Hawkinson

Don't be surprised if the town of McPherson (KS) is a bit busier than usual this week. A number of college coaches are expected to stop by McPherson High School in-order to get a closer look at Tanner Hawkinson, the 6-foot-6, 230-pound tight end. While quite a few schools continue to make a strong push for one of the best players in the state, there's no question that one Big 12 school currently stands atop his list.

In all, Hawkinson is being recruited by the likes of Kansas, Kansas State, Miami-FL, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Stanford and Colorado State. As it stands right now, he has scholarship offers from the Jayhawks, Wildcats, Cowboys and Rams.
