Texas OL is wide open

Trevor Marrongelli, out of Round Rock (Tex.) Westwood High School, is a junior offensive tackle who is already in demand. So far the young lineman has received offers from Baylor, Louisiana Tech and UTEP. But the interest does not end there, with Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and SMU sniffing around.

"I'm not really leaning toward anyone right now," he said.

As for UTEP, Marrongelli said they are definitely still in the running, but he needs to get more information on the program.

"I don't really know a lot about the program right now, but I'm sure I'll learn more as the process continues," he said.

The coaching staff at UTEP is a little bit of a mystery as well - but he is willing to learn.

"I don't know much, but I am looking forward to meeting the coaches and getting to know them," he said.

The offensive player does know, though, about the type of program he is looking for.

"I want a good coaching staff," he said. "Good academics and an overall good football program are important as well."
