Mitchell adds himself to Houston Sooners

2007 is quickly becoming Oklahoma's summer of commitments, with players like Joseph Ibiloye, Dejuan Miller, Casey Walker, and James Hanna all committing within the last week. It'd be hard for Sooner fans to ask for more but it seems the rich are getting richer with Oklahoma picking up yet another Texas star from a powerhouse program.

This time it's Spring Westfield safety Herman Mitchell. The 6-foot, 200-pound safety pledged to the Sooners just moments ago.

It seems that while Patton is the Sooner offensive line coach the two Sooner assistants have done a good job getting to know Mitchell and made him feel comfortable with a school he has never seen before.
