Mississippi standout plans to camp at AU
Hernando (Miss.) three-star DE/LB Andre Wadley received an offer from Auburn back in the spring.
At the time, the 6-foot-2, 245-pounder admitted he didn't know much more about the Tigers' program than what he'd seen on television.
In two weeks however, Wadley plans to be on the Plains for the first time.
"I'm planning on going to Auburn's camp in July. I'm looking forward to that," he said. "I've never been there and I want to see what they have to offer."
Even though he's never been to AU, the Tigers have made a big impression in other ways.
"I like Auburn because they are a winning team. I want to win. I've never been on a winning team. That's what sticks out the most about Auburn, they win."
In addition to Auburn, Wadley holds offers from Ole Miss and Mississippi State. He is also receiving heavy interest from Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Miami and Memphis among others.
He recently attended a Tide camp in Tuscaloosa.
"I went to Alabama's camp Saturday," he said. "It was good. Everything went well. I did pretty good.
"I got to talk to (head) coach Nick Saban. He said they liked me."
At this time, Wadley said he doesn't have any leaders.
"I don't really have any favorites right now. I'm pretty much open. I'm not in any hurry. I'm going to let it ride," he said.
Rivals.com ranks Wadley the No. 48 strongside defensive end in the country, and the No. 16 overall prospect in the state of Mississippi.
